New addition to existing gymnasium facilities at Vanguard’s campus. The additional 6,000sf of space will house a new weight room, bordered by clerestory windows on three sides to provide ample natural light into the space. Behind large open weight room space will be spacious Varsity Girls & Boys locker rooms, restrooms, and shower facilities.
This is in addition to the training, laundry, storage and coaches office areas that will also be located in the new space. Other keynote aspects of the project include a complete removal and repurposing of the current coaches offices and boys & girls restroom facilities currently located in the center area between the two gymnasiums. Once reconfigured, this area will be an open common space with over 20’ tall ceilings throughout with built-in trophy display cases and a “Hall of Fame” section to feature former Vanguard athletic alumni.
