The new Garden Level Production Studio Suite project is approximately 2893 square feet and will feature two new studios, a control room, a green room, and storage space. Studio B is a large multiuse studio with a green screen and a separate area for studio sets. Studio C is a more intimate studio to be used for smaller sit-down video production, podcasts, and audio recordings. Sound walls are incorporated in the suite and each studio will have additional sound panels on the wall. The project also includes an updated break room for the building staff and a new Commons feature wall.
The technology work for the new Library Studio will include audio, video, and lighting equipment that will be installed in two new studio spaces: Studio B & Studio C. Studio B will have two sets: one for green-screen work and one with an interview/teaching set. Studio C will be primarily used for podcasting but can also be used for audio recording. Associated manned, fixed, and robotic camera equipment will be used for a variety of functions in both spaces. A control room with a central production switcher and graphics capabilities will produce content from both studios. An audio mixer will handle microphone inputs from a variety of input panels in the space. New lighting fixtures can be mounted from a grid above or floor mounted as required for the shoot.
The project scope of work will include, but not be limited to, some demolition, remove some existing door frames and hardware, repair existing gyp board and clean exposed concrete surfaces and remove old ceiling tiles. The new construction will include, but not limited to, new wall construction, new finishes, new millwork, new MEPF configuration (including through existing/occupied spaces), security door card readers, and corridor painting.
